GEOpolitics Issue №15

The 15th issue of GEOpolitics is now available. Nearly three years have passed since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and while the outcome remains uncertain, its impact on the fight against autocratic aggression is undeniable. This issue is dedicated to the resilience of the Ukrainian people - the "nameless gladiators" defending justice and the civilized world.

As the war in Ukraine continues, Georgia faces an escalating internal crisis, marked by protests, repression, and growing authoritarianism under the pro-Russian Georgian Dream (GD) party. This issue explores the forces driving Georgia’s turmoil, the resilience of its pro-democracy movement, and the country’s uncertain path forward. We also examine Georgia’s weakening ties with Western allies, shifting power dynamics in the South Caucasus, and the wider implications for European security. Additionally, this edition covers the fall of Assad’s regime, the role of Western sanctions in weakening the GD regime, and the evolving complexities of U.S. foreign policy. At this critical moment, GEOpolitics highlights the urgent need for civic resistance and a strong international response.
